Workshops

These take place at various venues, and are booked as individual sessions. They are available to all, although at a reduced rate for regular members. See Workshop link on home page.

The sessions are either run by the kindergym staff or by specialists that are invited in, often at the request of our members.

At present we can offer:

Kidology www.kidologyparenting.co.uk

An opportunity to meet Kate who leads workshops for us in small groups.

Kate Nicolle, our very own local 'Super Nanny' will be holding some open question sessions at two of our venues this term.  Kate is a parenting consultant who works locally with families, she speaks on local radio, writes for parenting magazines and is currently running a parenting project for the NHS. She is friendly and approachable and welcomes you to come along with a parenting question and she will do her best to provide you with practical solutions and give you tools to use to help life run more smoothly with your little person !

Kate also runs sessions on topics such as, sleeping issues, behavioural problems, or sibling issues, in small groups, to enable everyone to ask their own specific questions and  everyone to benefit by group discussion. there is a toybox available for any children who wish to stay with their parents or the kindergym staff can look after them at kindergym so the parents can concentrate on their coffee and discussion.

                                                          Baby Massage helenjlawrence@hotmail.co.uk

The gentle art of baby massage has been a part of daily life in eastern cultures for centuries.  Over recent years it has become increasingly popular in the west, where we are discovering the value of massaging our babies. Baby massage has many benefits for both the baby and parent, it encourages bonding and attachment, promotes relaxation and sleep, and gives reassurance to the baby through touch, as well as strengthening the baby’s immune system, helping digestion and encouraging joint flexibility. The techniques are simple to learn and can easily be fitted into your baby’s daily routine to give you both quality time together.

Helen Lawrence is a qualified Baby Massage Instructor with several years experience teaching various complementary therapies for Bucks Adult Learning. Previously Helen spent many years working in salons and therapy clinics.Helen is a mother of two young daughters Emily and Sophie. Having seen first hand the benefits of baby massage for her own children, she decided to train as a Baby Massage Instructor Helen can offer baby massage classes in small groups or one-to-one.  For further information please call
